How it works

Under the hood.

We use Segment's HTTP Source API to fire track and identify events server-side. Each event includes the conversation context, customer identity (if known), and any custom properties you configure. From Segment, route the events to your warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift), your product analytics (Mixpanel, Amplitude), your marketing tools (Klaviyo, Customer.io), and anywhere else.

Install

Set up in 5 steps.

    Create a Segment HTTP source if you do not have one.

    Copy the write key from your Segment source.
  3. 03
    In Message, open Integrations > Segment and paste the write key.
  4. 04
    Pick which events to fire (defaults include all the high-value ones).

    Save. Events start flowing within a minute.
FAQ

Questions people ask before they install.

Does it support Segment Personas?

Yes. Identify calls include the customer traits, which feed Personas.

Can I send custom properties?

Yes. Any conversation tag or custom field can ride along on the track event.

What about the Segment Twilio integration overlap?

We are not Twilio. Our Segment events sit alongside whatever else you send to Segment.

Will it bloat my Segment MTU count?

Identify calls count toward MTU. If you are at quota, consider filtering to identifies for known customers only.
