Notifications can drop for OS-level reasons (Do Not Disturb), browser reasons (notification permission revoked), workspace reasons (the conversation routed elsewhere), or app reasons (push service degraded).
1. Browser permission
Open browser settings and confirm app.message.com is allowed to send notifications. Reset and re-grant if unsure.
2. macOS Do Not Disturb / Focus mode
If Focus is active, browsers may not deliver notifications. Whitelist Message in System Settings > Focus.
3. Routing
If the conversation went to a department you are not in, you will not get a notification. Check the conversation's department in the inbox.
4. Quiet hours
Mobile push respects quiet hours. Disable temporarily or remove the offending hours.
5. Recent status changes
If you were marked Away or Offline, we hold notifications. Set your status to Online from the top bar.
6. Service status
Open status.message.com. If push delivery is degraded, you will see it there.
