The Shopify integration is the most-installed and most-debugged integration in our portfolio. Four issues come up often.
1. Orders not syncing
Check Settings > Integrations > Shopify > Health. If you see 401, the OAuth scopes have changed (Shopify did a permissions reset). Click Reconnect.
2. The widget shows the wrong currency
If you sell in multiple currencies, Message defaults to the customer's settlement currency. Override per visitor by passing 'currency' on the identify() call.
3. Refund button disabled
Refunds need the write_refunds scope. If the button is greyed out, reconnect and authorize the additional scope.
4. Cart abandonment events delayed
Cart abandonment fires after 1 hour of cart inactivity (Shopify default). Configurable in Settings > Integrations > Shopify > Cart abandonment.
