Connect the intended store
Use the Shopify setup flow to link the correct store to the correct Message workspace. Review the requested permissions and account requirements.
Choose knowledge sources
Public product information, pages and policies can support business knowledge. Review imported material before using it for customer-facing AI. Remove stale or conflicting policy copies.
Keep order lookup separate
Customer-specific order information uses the supported verification and lookup flow. Knowing an email address alone should not authorize disclosure of another person’s order. Do not treat all Shopify account data as public knowledge.
Test the boundaries
Ask a product question, a policy question, a verified order question and a question about another customer. Check the source and the response. A store connection does not imply unrestricted refunds, gift-card access or administrative actions.
