We built a migration tool that runs over Intercom's standard data export. Your customer engineer at Message walks you through the import on a 30-minute call, or you can run it yourself from Settings > Data > Import.
What we import
Conversations and messages (up to 18 months by default, longer on request), contacts, tags, saved replies, agents (as draft accounts you confirm), and assignment history.
What we cannot import
Intercom Articles (KB) need a separate import because the markup differs. Intercom Surveys do not have a Message equivalent yet. Custom data attributes import as visitor properties.
How long it takes
Under 50,000 conversations: under 30 minutes. Under 500,000: a few hours. Over a million: overnight. We email you when the import finishes.
