Founding Product Designer
Be the first designer at message.com. You will set the visual language for the marketing site, the agent inbox, the chat widget, the iOS and Android apps, and the customer-facing knowledge bases we generate. Our bar is Intercom plus Linear plus Stripe, run by a small team that ships every day.

- Own the design system across marketing, app, widget, and mobile. Bespoke, not template.
- Pair daily with engineering: design in Figma in the morning, ship in production by the afternoon.
- Set the brand evolution from launch through Series A.
- Run customer-research sessions with our first 100 paying customers and turn the patterns into product moves.
- Hire designer 2 and designer 3 inside the first year.
Who you are
- 8+ years shipping product design at scale, with at least one zero-to-one launch.
- Strong typography and motion sensibility. Your portfolio reads like a product, not a moodboard.
- Comfortable writing your own copy. Designer-writer hybrids preferred.
- Opinionated, fast, and direct. Founder energy.
Nice to have
- Customer support, contact center, or B2B SaaS background.
- You have shipped a chat widget or a mobile messaging UI.
