Under the hood.
We use Zoom's OAuth Marketplace app with the meeting:write and meeting:read scopes. When an agent clicks Start Zoom, we POST to /users/me/meetings with type=1 (instant meeting). Zoom returns the join URL, we drop it into the conversation, and the customer joins from the widget. The agent joins from the Zoom desktop or web client. Recording and AI Companion summaries are governed by your Zoom tier, not ours.

- 03Pick whether to create instant meetings or scheduled meetings by default.
- 04Optional: enable auto-recording on the Zoom side.

Can customers join without a Zoom account?
Yes. They join from the browser link, no Zoom account or app install required.
Does it work with Zoom's free tier?
Yes, with the standard 40-minute cap on group meetings. Use Zoom Pro or higher for unlimited duration.
What about Zoom AI Companion (meeting summaries)?
If your Zoom plan includes AI Companion, summaries generate automatically. We can pull the summary back into the conversation transcript when the meeting ends.
Can I use Zoom Phone for outbound calls instead of our SIP?
On the Enterprise plan, yes. We can route outbound through Zoom Phone if that is your existing voice provider. Contact us for the configuration.
