FullStory records the customer's session in your web app. Our integration links each chat conversation to the matching FullStory session, so the agent can jump from a vague "this page is broken" message into a full session replay in two clicks. Diagnosis time on UI bugs drops from hours to minutes.

Under the hood.
We connect to FullStory's API using your API key (read-only access). When a visitor opens a chat, we capture the FullStory session ID from the window object (FS.getCurrentSessionURL) and attach it to the conversation. From the inbox sidebar, the agent clicks the FullStory link and lands directly on the session replay scrubbed to the moment the chat opened. No customer PII is sent to FullStory by us, we only read the session URL.
Set up in 5 steps.
- 01In FullStory, open Settings, then Integrations, and generate a new API key.
- 02In message.com, open Integrations, then FullStory, and paste the API key.
- 03Confirm the FullStory org URL (looks like app.fullstory.com/ui/ORGID).
- 04Optional: map FullStory user identifiers to Message customer fields (email is the default).
- 05Save. New conversations starting after this point will have FullStory links attached.

Does it work with FullStory's free tier?
Yes. The API surfaces we use are available on every FullStory plan including Free.
Will it slow down my site?
No. The integration runs server-side on the Message backend. Nothing extra loads on your website beyond what FullStory and our widget already do.
Is customer data sent to FullStory by Message?
No. We read the session URL FullStory exposes on the client and store it on the conversation. We never push PII into FullStory.
