The Message mobile app is a Progressive Web App today, with native iOS and Android wrappers on the roadmap. The PWA works on every modern phone and feels native.
Install
On iOS: open Safari to app.message.com, tap Share, tap Add to Home Screen. On Android: open Chrome, tap the menu, tap Install app.
Push notifications
After install, allow notifications. We use web-push (FCM on Android, APNs via Safari on iOS 16.4+). Latency under 1 second from inbox to your phone.
Offline mode
The inbox cached locally. You can read older conversations and write replies offline; they sync when you reconnect.
