How it works

Under the hood.

The Shopify app provisions an authenticated connection between your store and your message.com workspace. When a customer asks about an order, the AI uses the Storefront API to fetch the actual order record. When it suggests a product, it queries the live product catalog. When it issues a refund, it calls the Admin API with the authenticated session your store granted on install.

    Pick your workspace (if you have more than one) or create a new one.

Questions people ask before they install.

Does it work with Shopify Plus?

Yes. We test on Shopify Plus, including B2B, multi-store, and Markets Pro setups.

Can it issue refunds?

Yes, up to your configured cap. Default is $30 per refund, 1 per order. Disputes escalate to a human.

How is it different from Shopify Inbox?

Shopify Inbox is chat only, no AI grounding, no ticket queue, no phone, no email handling. Message replaces Shopify Inbox plus your separate ticket and phone tools.

Does it slow down my store?

No. The widget is roughly 18 KB gzipped, loaded async, with no render-blocking. Lighthouse scores are unaffected.
