Phones Phase 1 is live: AI wait-time concierge

Phase 1 of the phone-AI build shipped on May 18. When all agents are busy and the caller chooses to hold, the AI engages with your brand voice, grounds in your KB, and offers to text the answer if the caller still wants a human. Voice cloning is free, ungated. Default voice is a neutral built-in voice running on our own voice infrastructure. Stefan is testing on his own number this week.

The voice cloning is wild. We cloned our shop owner's voice from a YouTube clip he did on local TV. Customers do not realize it is AI.

Reminder: ethics. If you clone a voice, the cloned voice has to identify itself as AI when asked. Set in Settings > AI > Voice > Disclosure.

Saved us a part-time receptionist. Six callers per day were hitting voicemail; now the AI handles half of them.
